The days grow longer and the bedtimes steadily get pushed back to make room for more playtime, for more time together as a family.  Some days my husband is able to get home from work early enough for us to take a walk through the neighborhood just before bed.  I push the baby in the single.  And my husband pushes the big kids in the double up and down the hills as the sun begins to disappear.  That golden light kisses us all so sweetly.  It begs to be photographed.  I never bring my camera though.   Or if I do, I don’t use it.  I am trying to be more present during these special family walks.  Plus, I need both hands to push that stroller up those hills!!   By the time we return to our yard, the kids are ready to jump out of the stroller and run around the yard squeezing in what little bit of playtime is left before bed.  And, I of course am racing against the sun to get my camera and capture it.   I hadn’t even realized just how much I adore this little family tradition that we have created until now.
