The Booth Series

In most homes, the kitchen is a favorite spot where everyone congregates.  It is the place where most of the action occurs – the area that really defines a family.  Gathered around the kitchen table a family connects.  Taking photographs of my children in the exact same spot over the years serves as a growth chart.  It reminds me of the way in which some parents measure their kids in the same spot on a wall or doorway each year and mark their new heights.  We have an old formica table and a red vinyl bench and chairs that my husband recovered years ago.  It fits perfectly in between two windows.  We refer to it as simply “The Booth”.
