i love your skin. the newness of it. the way it smells. the way if feels so soft and perfect. there is this time each day when the sun is barely there. it shines so gently ever so slightly caressing your skin. i wanted to capture the way the sun touches you. your brother and sister saw you lying there soaking up that beautiful light and they wanted to be a part of it too. they said, “mama, take our picture too. pretend like we are babies too.” i didn’t have to pretend. the moments passed quickly as the sun slipped away from me. but not before i got the chance to capture it loving on the soft, perfect skin of my babies.
